According to schedule of IPL 2011, Sawai Mansingh stadium, Jaipur will be hosting the Rajasthan Royals Vs Delhi Daredevils match on April 12, 2011. The day and night match will be played under flood light conditions.
In season 20010 of IPL, the RR Vs DD matches were held at Ahmedabad and Delhi and Delhi Daredevils won in both. Virendra Sehwag of DD was Man of the match at Ahmedabad and Dinesh Karthik of DD at Delhi.
Delhi Daredevils Vs Rajasthan Royals matches of IPL 2009 edition were held at Centurion and Bloemfontein in South Africa. While Rajasthan Royals won the match at Centurion, Delhi Daredevils won at Bloemfontein and A B de Villiers was Man of the Match.
In IPL season 2008, DD Vs RR match was first held at Delhi which was won by Delhi Daredevils and their player Farveez Maharoof was Man of the Match. In the second match held at Jaipur, Rajasthan Royals emerged victorious.
Rajasthan Royals had the honour of winning the trophy in the inaugural session of IPL in the year 2008. In the finals they defeated Chennai Super Kings by 3 wickets. Yusuf Pathan was declared Man of the Match and Shane Watson was declared Man of the Series. RR could not reach the semi-finals in IPL season 2009. Season 2010 of IPL was also not so good for RR. A defeat at the hands of Kolkata Knight Riders made them out of the series.
The Rajasthan Royals team for IPL season 2011 consists of Rahul Dravid, Aakash Chopra, Ajinkya Rahane, Ashok Meenaria, Stuart Binny, Dishant Harendra Yagnik, Abhishek Raut, Aditya Dole, Samad Fallah, Pankaj Singh, Deepah Chahar and Siddharth Trivedi. The additions from abroad are Shane Warne, Shaun Tait, Johan Botha, Paul Collingwood, Shane Watson and Ross Taylor.
Delhi Daredevils could not make it to the semi-finals of IPL season 2008. In season 2009, they reached semi-finals but, could not reach the finals. In season 2010 of IPL also, DD could not reach the semi-finals.
Delhi Daredevils team for IPL 2011 includes international players Aaron Finch, David Warner, Travis Birt, Colin Ingram, Andrew McDonald, Morne Morkel, Roelof van der Merwe, Robert Frylinck and Mathew Wade. The Indian players are Ajit Agarkar, Irfan Pathan, Yogesh Nagar, Tejaswi Yadav, Sridharan Sriram, Naman Ojha, Ashok Dinda, Umesh Yadav, Vikas Mishra, Ajit Chandila, Rajesh Pawar, Vivek Yadav and Avishkar Salvi.
