In season 2008 of IPL, out of the two RCB Vs MI matches, one was one by RCB and the other match was won by MI
MI Vs RCB matches of IPL season 2009 were held in Johannesberg and Port Elizabeth, South Africa. RCB won the first match and MI were the winners of the second match.

In 2009 IPL, they reached the finals but, were defeated by Deccan Chargers in the final match. In season 2010 of IPL RCB reached the semi-finals and lost to Mumbai Indians. However, being at the 3rd position in the league matches, they were qualified for Champions League Tweny20, 2010.
Mumbai Indians failed to reach the semi-finals of IPL season 2008. In season 2010, the reached the finals but, lost to Chennai Super Kings in the final match. Sachin Tendulkar took 618 runs in the series and got the Orange Cap for the highest run scorer.
